Hoàng Hậu Cuối Cùng, The Last Empress (2018)

Jang Na Ra, a famous singer and actress from South Korea, has been primarily active in China and has gained a significant reputation in recent years. Despite being 37 years old, Na Ra still maintains her youthful and beautiful appearance and has a relatively large influence. The Last Empress project marks the return of this mischievous angel. The drama started airing on November 21st, on Wednesdays and Thursdays on SBS channel, promising to shake up the Korean film market in the near future.

Directed by Joo Dong-min, a name closely associated with SBS for many years and with extensive filmmaking experience, The Last Empress also features a relatively high-quality cast with notable actors such as Choi Jin Hyuk, Shin Sung Rok, and Lee Elliya. The story revolves around the life of the beautiful girl Oh Sunny (Jang Nara),a talented and passionate musical actress.

During a time when South Korea was still under a monarchy, the people were heavily dependent on the bureaucratic system and endured many hardships. Sunny, a seemingly modern-day Cinderella, suddenly becomes the empress overnight after unexpectedly marrying the current king. However, everything turns out to be different from Sunny's imagination. After discovering dark conspiracies and realizing that she is merely a pawn to be exploited, Sunny decides to fight for her true justice and happiness.
