The group consists of four members: Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. Both songs charted on Billboard's World Digital Songs and Gaon's digital charts in South Korea.

Blackpink is the highest-charting South Korean girl group on the Billboard Hot 100, reaching the 13th position with "Ice Cream" (2020),and on the Billboard 200 with "The Album" (2020) at the second position. They are the first K-pop girl group to enter and top Billboard's Emerging Artists chart, as well as owning three number-one singles on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart. They are also the first Korean girl group to receive a certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for their single "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du" (2018) - the most-viewed music video on YouTube by a Korean group. They also became the first K-pop group in the world to have three music videos ("Ddu-Du Ddu-Du," "Kill This Love," and "Boombayah") surpass 1 billion views on the global video platform YouTube.

Other awards won by Blackpink include the "New Artist of the Year" category at the 31st Golden Disc Awards and the 26th Seoul Music Awards.
